Experience selling technical/professional services, ideally computer consulting, is preferred. Experience performing the actual services being sold is greatly preferred, to help establish credibility with our consultants as well as clients. We have members and applicants all over the US needing contracts but our most crucial need is right here in Dallas. Candidates with existing client contacts, especially in Dallas, will have an advantage. We need as many or as few sales partners as it will take to keep our people working as we grow.
We treat our consultants right so we attract the best consultants to our firm. Concentrate on doing the best possible job for our consultants, and they will do the best possible job for our clients.
Many consulting firms pay their salespeople and recruiters a commission based on the spread or margin between the billing rate charged to the client and the hourly rate actually paid to the consultant. So the more they can screw the consultant, the more money they make! No wonder consultants don't trust brokers! Since we're a consulting firm designed by and for consultants, we take a totally different approach - our commissions we pay are based on our total billing. This keeps our consultants and our sales partners on the same side, instead of pitting them against each other. It also provides a much bigger base on which to figure the commissions, so we can pay a lower commission rate and the sales partners can still make more money. And by using fixed percentages and full disclosure, everyone knows what to expect, so you don't have to worry. See http://rmpcp.com/fees.shtml for more on this.
