RMPCP-Reqs list created

We've created a group/list at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RMPCP-Reqs to handle contract requirements from brokers (other consulting firms etc.) and clients. Consultants may join there to receive openings. Brokers/clients will not join but will email their req's to the address indicated there. The rules are posted there and/or here below.

Terms of Service

The RMPCP-Reqs group is for "brokers" (consulting firms etc.) and clients to submit their contract or project requirements to RMP Consulting Partners LLC. It is not to be used for posting "permanent jobs" or "contract-to-hire" and is not for recruiting RMPCP personnel to work as W-2 employees for either the recruiting firm or their clients. Those who "poach" our consultants (and those who don't pay their bills) may be prosecuted as applicable. Sending reqs for "permanent jobs" or "contract-to-hire" constitutes permission for us to apply for these on a contract basis with no obligation to hire. This is strictly for posting contracts or projects for RMPCP to perform on a company-to-company basis, and contract terms (and the conduct of brokers and/or clients) must not violate the IRS's 20 Questions or otherwise jeopardize our Independent Contractor status.

This group is not for posting résumés or hotlists; see elsewhere on our web site for where to send those. Most of our consultants are American citizens. Spam is not tolerated. Sending us email from or attempting to subscribe via an invalid or unverifiable email address or using forged headers will be considered prima facie evidence of intent to spam and/or defraud (we caught one using a fake Yahoo address already). Also this group is for business purposes only, not for religious or political or similar messages, however well-intentioned. We may post messages alerting our members to issues affecting the independent computer consulting industry but that is entirely up to RMPCP management. We would be more likely to use some of our other more appropriate groups/lists for that purpose anyway.

Subscribers or senders whom we don't already know will be expected to supply name and contact information. Subscribers also must sign our standard Non-Disclosure Agreement if they haven't already (most are already RMPCP members and therefore have already signed it). Those who don't provide this within a reasonable amount of time will be rejected. Subscribers who haven't signed our NDA may be deemed at our discretion to have signed it, so subscribing or attempting to subscribe constitutes signing our standard NDA, plus agreement to join RMPCP before accepting any work through these messages. Because of the possible difficulty of enforcing the NDA and these terms and other agreements in foreign countries, and other reasons, subscribers must be current residents of the USA (or Canada - this exception is subject to change). We reserve the right to moderate all messages and to ban senders who violate the rules. HTML messages will be converted to plain text; attachments will be discarded. Only our consultants will see these messages; brokers/clients will not since they do not actually join this group. Brokers/clients who use this group agree to these rules (which we may change at any time).

Any consultants who accept opportunities posted here agree to work them only through RMPCP, even if the same opportunities are also posted or found elsewhere. Likewise, any brokers/clients who contact consultants through this group (or via any other rmpcp.com web page or email address) agree to engage them only through RMPCP, even if the consultants' résumés or other information are also posted or found elsewhere or submitted directly or from another source. Other than the above, contracts found here are treated like those found directly by our consultants; we take no additional marketing commission. This is not a commercial job posting service; we are not a broker.

Subscribing or posting to this list constitutes acceptance of these terms regardless of jurisdiction. Disputes will be arbitrated, litigated, or otherwise resolved in Dallas unless RMPCP approves a different location.

The group is also subject to the Terms of Service applicable to Yahoo Groups.
