Experienced professionals wanted

RMPCP supports Full Disclosure - we meet the Acid Test!

Now it's even easier to join us!

We've created a special Applicants list to help automate the process of joining us or getting more information to help you decide. Please look over our web site, then click here to continue. Follow the easy instructions and you'll receive a brief questionnaire and more information to guide you through the process step by step. We've also converted our Openings list to a similar implementation. This allows us to serve you more quickly while we develop an even better interface later.

If you have difficulty subscribing to the Applicants list via the Web interface above, it's easier to subscribe via this email interface, but you may want to upgrade to the Web interface later on so you can read earlier messages which might have useful information. This email link is strictly for subscribing to this list and spammers will not be tolerated.

Come grow with us

We're looking for more contract programmers, consultants, and similar technical professionals (and help with sales also) with 5-30+ years relevant experience. The ideal candidate is an experienced independent contractor comfortable with the entrepreneurial risks of self-employment or running a small business. Joining us will especially benefit you if the hassles of running your business are distracting you from doing the work you do best. Even better, if your experience is mostly as someone else's employee and you're ready to go out on your own, joining us can give you the same self-employed independent contractor status without having to set up your own business (no other consulting firm we know provides this special opportunity).

That's right - joining any other consulting firm will most likely jeopardize your independent contractor status, while joining us can actually help strengthen or even establish it!

Here's more information on why joining us can help you whether you're already an independent contractor or have been thinking about becoming one. And we're not just an umbrella, we're a real consulting firm, but much more like a co-op than most consulting firms. We have referral commissions to help reward any of our consultants who find clients for each other. Our commissions decline over time so our consultants don't feel exploited for years as by a "typical broker", and also unlike many consulting firms, we know how to calculate Per Diem rates correctly so you get the maximum legitimate tax deductions.

We have a SIMPLE retirement plan and a group health plan. And of course, you'll get the tax deductions attributable to your own benefits and other expenses. But perhaps the best benefit is that you'll be part of a larger firm complete with corporate shield. We take care of business so you can concentrate on your work. And if you've already incorporated, your corporation can join.

Endorsements

"I don't know anyone who didn't get what they expected from your offerings - if I hadn't already incorporated, I probably would've used your service." - from a former member of the ICCA Benefits Committee who later said he'd be happy to join us as a corporate member.

"I switched from [another popular umbrella] to RMPCP because they're more flexible." - another ICCA member

"I would very much like to work together again. I had a great time working through RMP for Andrew. It's a great concept, and I enjoy independence IMMENSELY! I am pounding the sites and scanning the REQS groups twice daily. As soon as something comes along I'd be glad to run it through you guys." - a first-time contractor

"I'll admit, I was a bit nervous when he studied your contract [changes], but he was nodding and saying how smart you are. A real relief. ... All this time I wasn't quite sure what benefits your company had to offer, but I'm starting to be glad I included you in on this." - another ICCA member starting a new contract

Here's what one of our consultants wrote about our handling of per diems compared to other firms: "Wow, that sounds really great... better than anything I expected. I'm glad you care enough to always seek ways to improve the way you do business. By the way, if there's anything I can do to help out the company, please let me know."

Here's a longer quote from one of our consultants describing our services to an applicant.

"I take it that you're considering becoming aligned with RMPCP.

I can tell you right up front that it's been an excellent relationship for me, particularly with regard to financial management of my income. Naturally, we all want to maximize our income, and MINimize our tax liabilities. And that has been the prime reason that upon getting a new contract, I do everything possible to utilize Robert's services. I've come to the realization that if I don't, I'll end up biting a much too large financial bullet.

If you're hoping that RMPCP will provide a wealth of new work for you, you'll be disappointed. That's one of the things that Robert is striving to improve upon but for now, the biggest benefit is the structure that he provides.

The other thing that I'd like to point out is that Robert is very aggressive. That's come to light during a number of instances when a client was balky about payment, when a consulting company was less than forthright about contractual matters, and even when he strives to improve the services and benefits associated with his organization.

In this business, it seems, aggressive is good. I don't have time to do these things; I'm delighted that Robert does."
